I’ve only ever drank tea at Starbucks, they tend to burn their coffee. Not all do, but they have that reputation in my city.
When I drink coffee it tends to be a decaf americano, no sugar, no cream. I like my coffee bitter and strong (flavor not caffeine, I am less and less tolerant of caffeine the older I get).
When I drink tea, it depends the time of day. First thing in the morning, or if I’m eating I take my tea black. Otherwise, I like green (occasionally) or mint. I’ve gotten into mint more lately, it’s really easy on my stomach. I love Rooibus tea, but I have a hard time finding it not mixed with flavors I feel overpower it. I should probably buy my tea at places that aren’t grocery stores or Target.
I’ll tag Shawns and Cade just in case they want to kill time while they wait for the baby’s grand entrance.
Love mint tea!
I am very much the same as you in my love for the flavour of espresso, and my growing sensitivity to caffeine. I love tea too, but don’t enjoy the fruity blends that sometimes distract from the base tea.
I just don’t care much for sweet drinks either, or things with a lot of sugar, unless I’m going to be going to bed or reading something very protein-rich after it. It’s weird as a kid Is inhale sugar, now I avoid it or feel sick after eating it.
I’m the same way, except when it comes to baked goods. I LOVE anything that combines sugar with butter and carbs for some reason lol.
I always thought Starbucks tends to burn their coffee too! I’ve had a good streak with them lately though.
There’s a coffee shop a block and a half from my house that’s my preferred place. It’s not a chain so I don’t want to give its name. When I was a teen someone online stalked me.
I live in Suburban hell, so chains are almost all we have. There is a nice little independent place in the historic main street part of town that I like, but it’s the kind of place you only go to if you are shopping down there. Sometimes I miss city life.
I love the tea too! I drink 4-5 cups a day, normally. I’m not very good at drinking plain water…
I don’t know many people who are good at drinking plain water.
